I’ve had this idea for a smutty one-shot for our Divine Ruler ever since I watched Cult. But now that I joined Tumblr and read so many others work of him … It almost scares me.

I wouldn’t say I’m a bad writer, not exactly mediocre either, but far from a perfect one. I’m not sure I can do Kai justice. And then I read others work and it seems like they do it without a problem at all.

What if it turns into a catastrophe?! If it’s one thing that scares me it’s that my own work turns into one of those that irritates me the most.

Fics that are poorly written and catch nothing of the character at all.

Kai is one of those characters that I have a hard time identify with, which would make it harder to write him. But I really want to do this idea.

Yet I don’t want it to turn out bad …

Never be afraid to write something because you don’t know how it’s going to turn out. Even if it isn’t your best work, we all have to start somewhere. No one just suddenly gets an idea and writes the world’s greatest novel on the first go. Even the most world-renowned authors have trashed their works.

Besides, from what I have read of your fanfiction, you are a brilliant writer. I know you will be able to capture what is in your mind.

I second what @fragilelikeabomb0106 said. I think your writing is wonderful! Everybody’s writing style is different, as well. You could always just start out writing for yourself and seeing how it turns out. You don’t need to make it public if you don’t feel comfortable. Or have a person you trust read it first and give you feedback. There is no right or wrong way to write, and everybody who writes for Kai puts their own unique spin on his character.

Writing is something you can never really ‘fail’ at, you just get better and better over time.
