Negative Perceptions of Hogwarts Houses

So it is often perceived that Ravenclaws are stuck up, Hufflepuffs are nancy pushovers, and Slytherins are dark/evil/mean, etc.

But…what is ever said about Gryffindor? I’ve never really noticed or seen any negative perceptions said about them? Maybe they are a bit foolhardy, but I’m not sure.

Thoughts, my people?

Well … the only thing I heard was actually from a young Snape, in the flashback during Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows:

 James lifted an invisable sword. “’Gryffindor where dwell the brave at heart’. Like my dad.”

“If you rather be brawny than brainy,” Snape said. 

I like this…this interpretation also lends itself to my thoughts of Gryffindors being a bit foolhardy—brave to a fault, and reckless or hotheaded.

Ravenclaw vs Slytherin INTJs

Ravenclaw:

  • Nerd™️
  • Learns every fact possible about *subject of interest* just because they can
  • Generally they’re the nicer INTJs. This doesn’t mean they’re nice, but nicer.
  • Probably pretty artistic, not gonna lie
  • Loves learning for the sake of knowledge
  • They’re most likely writers
  • If Wikipedia ever shut down, they would just become the living replacement for it
  • They have so many questions about everything, but it’s not out of disrespect. It’s just because they want to know everything there is to know.

Slytherin:

  • Misanthropist™️
  • If you get between them and their goal, it’ll be the last thing you ever do
  • Snarky a-holes
  • Loves learning, but unlike Ravenclaw it’s not for the sake of knowledge, but because it helps them achieve their goals
  • Have really specific interests, in which no one can beat them
  • They’re mischievous little bastards
  • Sarcastic comments GALORE
  • Their wardrobes are very versatile. So much black, really dark grey, and noir.

This is so damn accurate about me for Ravenclaw, except I am INFJ. But INTJs and INFJs are very similar…
