I’m not mocking anything. Sexual assault is very much a serious topic and not something to be taken lightly. That being said, it’s also not a topic that should be stigmatized and swept under the rug.
As a victim and survivor of sexual assault myself, I can attest to the fact that not talking about or portraying it is much more harmful than being open about it, whether it be in reality or fiction. Treating it as though it’s taboo and refusing to keep the issue in the light discourages victims from coming forth with their stories and keeps them isolated.
It happens all the time in real life. As such, it is a recurring theme in American Horror Story. What I write is no different from what is depicted in the show, just in more detail and with a non-canon character that is victimized.
I offer my sincerest apologies if the content offends you, but if it does, then you honestly should not be involved in the fandom at all considering how often it is depicted in the show. I give adequate warnings on my works. It is not my fault if someone opts not to read or heed them.
