You glanced at the ceiling for the hundredth time as you anxiously rubbed your small hands together. You were sat between two of Kai’s men. They listened closely to everything that was drifting from the divine ruler’s lips.

You were uncomfortably terrified. That army, that cult, Kai Anderson…Those scared the crap out of you. You knew you’d gotten yourself in trouble the moment you decided to join that bloody cult. Of course, you regretted your decision. But there was no turning back now, was it?

Everybody cheered whenever Kai said something that could be considered exciting. Violence, murder, conspiration…Your breathing was heavy and you were focusing not to have a panic attack right then and there.

After a couple more hours of that agonizing mental torture, Kai exempted everybody. You sighed in relief whilst standing up and grabbing your backpack, your eyes never drifting up from the floor. As you were about to head towards the door, you heard Kai clearing his throat.

“And where do you think you are off to, (y/n)?” You frowned, stopping dead in your tracks. Your eyes were immediately huge, but you were trying your best not to lose your mind. “I wanna have a word with you.” You slowly turned on your heels to face Kai, who was lazily sat in the big beige armchair. He leaned back and shook his head towards the sofa. “Come over here. Have a seat.“

You gulped and fisted your hands, digging your nails into the flesh of your palm. It was a habit you’d acquired to keep your anxiety under control. Taking an incredibly deep breath, you managed to head towards the enormous and take a seat. You set your backpack on your lap and wrapped your arms around it.

"Good girl.” He spoke softly, causing your cheeks to fluster profoundly. He stood up from the armchair and put the wine glass he was holding on the side table, an indecipherable sigh slipped from his lips. Kai spun on his heels and walked over to the couch you were sitting, a small smile curled across his lips. He sat down beside you, which made you shift slightly. “Hey, (y/n). Look at me.” He gently held your chin in his hand and wiped the tears that were now falling from your eyes with his free one, your entire body shook as sobs ricocheted through your throat. “I won’t hurt you, I promise."

"Okay…” You nodded your head because, honestly, you wanted to trust his words. Kai stroked your cheek softly and leaned over to plant a kiss on your forehead, which caught you off guard, earning a confused gasp.

“Good. Good girl.” Kai pulled his hand back but soon raised it again, lifting his pinky. You knew where this was going, but he nodded his head in reassurance. Not wanting to challenge him, you rested your elbow on your backpack and linked your own pinky with his. “Brutal honesty?"

"Brutal honesty, divine ruler.” You whispered back, finally collecting the courage to lock your gaze with his. Kai squeezed your finger slightly tighter, letting out another mysterious sigh.

“What fills your heart with dread, little one?” Kai’s gaze was dark, his pupils had dilated. “What are you afraid of?"

"I don’t know…” Of course, you did. You were just too afraid to admit.

“Liar.” Kai snarled and narrowed his eyes at you. His free hand traveled all the way up your stomach to your chest, causing countless goosebumps to form over your (y/s/c) skin. He felt the rhythm of your heart hamming your ribcage against his hand and laughed maniacally. “I know the truth. I know everything, (y/n).” He moved the hand on your chest to tuck a lock of your hair behind your ear as he mockerily puckered his lower lip, furrowing his thick eyebrows. “It’s me, isn’t it? I scare the shit out of you.” Then, he roughly grabbed your chin, squeezing it tightly in his large hand. “Answer me, little one."

You merely nodded your head at him, too terrified to say anything. Kai’s eyes suddenly softened and he pulled both of his hands away, taking his moment to stare at your fragile, crying figure.

"Shh, sweetheart, it’s okay.” Kai gently wrapped his arms around your body and pressed his hand to the back of your head, holding your face to his chest. “I’m not going to hurt you.” He stroked your hair and rested his chin on top of your head, allowing you to fall apart in his arms. “Why would I, anyway?"

Kai held your shoulders and pulled back slightly so he could take a better glance at your face. He smiled big and reached one hand to cup your cheek, being surprised when you unconsciously leaned into his touch. The capacity he had of touching your mind before reaching for any other part of your body was unbelievable.

"When you are such an adorable, obedient little thing.” Kai’s voice was suddenly filled with lust and his brown eyes were even darker. You gasped when he grabbed your thighs and pulled your body down, wrapping your legs around his waist as he leaned over your body, his face hovering above yours. He pulled his shirt above his head, allowing you to have a view of his muscular, sinfully tempting torso. Kai slid his hands over your body, stopping at your breasts to grab a hold of them. You gasped when he started to fondle them, that typical malicious smirk of his stamping his heavenly gorgeous face. “I will show you why you don’t have to fear daddy, little one."
