I lounged at the pool while James was spending time with his friends at the bar for Devil’s Night. I didn’t mind taking a day out of the year to give James time to catch up with old friends while I relaxed alone. As I enjoyed the sun, I saw an unfamiliar girl walking my way. She must be a new guest to the hotel. I felt myself intrigued about her presence. She carried something about her in the way she held herself in public, almost menacing, but still feminine enough to be approachable. I liked this presence she carried, almost reminding myself of me, which meant James might enjoy this one as a special guest for tonight’s festivities.
She donned all black: from her hair to her black dress and tights. It seemed exceptionally odd for the sunny Los Angeles heat, which may have been what caught my attention in the first place.
